A-Powder Ti-6Al-4V Grade 23 ELI — Titanium Powder for AO Metal Printers
Ti-6Al-4V Grade 23 ELI titanium powder.
The extra-low-interstitial version of Ti-6Al-4V. Oxygen and iron are held below Grade 5 limits, which buys ductility and fracture toughness while keeping the strength-to-weight ratio titanium is chosen for.

What it is
Typical use
Brackets, fittings, lightweight lattices and functional titanium prototypes where toughness matters as much as strength.
On an AO Metal printer
AO Metal A30, A50 and A100 are open systems: every process parameter is exposed and there is no approved-material list, so you load this 15–53 µm powder like any other qualified alloy. Our materials engineer shares recommended starting parameters, which you then tune on your own printer.
This alloy is reactive. Run it only under argon on a machine set up for it, and follow the powder-handling, grounding and fire-safety practices for reactive metal powders.

How to use it
- Store sealedKeep the container closed, dry and at room temperature until you load the printer. Reseal it after each use.
- Sieve before loadingPass the powder through a sieve before it goes into the printer, and every time you reuse powder recovered from a build.
- Load the dispenserFill the printer's powder dispenser, close the chamber and purge it with argon before the first layer.
- Start from our parametersOur materials engineer shares recommended starting parameters for this alloy; every value stays open for you to tune.
- Recover the restAfter the build, collect the unfused powder, sieve it and return it to a sealed container for the next job.
Wear a respirator, gloves and a lab coat when handling metal powder. Fine titanium and aluminium powders are combustible: keep them away from ignition sources and clean up only with a vacuum rated for metal powder. The safety data sheet comes with every order. See the full printing workflow →
Ordering

Made in China. If your program requires US- or allied-origin material, ask us before ordering.
Questions
Is Grade 23 the right titanium for my project?
Choose Grade 23 ELI when you need extra ductility and fracture toughness; Grade 5 is the general-purpose Ti64. Both are 15–53 µm cuts in the A-Powder line.
Can I use it for implants?
No. It is sold for research, prototyping and industrial use and is not certified for implantable medical devices.
